We were one of the first companies to become members of Origin Green back in 2013 and today we are proud to say that we are also one of the first companies to have achieved Origin Green Gold Membership status.
At Slaney Foods we have committed to a mandatory mix of target areas specified by the Origin Green Charter which is operated by Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board.
These areas form the basis of our 3 year sustainability plan and include Raw material sourcing, Manufacturing processes and Social sustainability. The Origin Green plan which is independently verified by international verification specialists, Mabbett is reviewed annually and is monitored for progress against the set targets.
Paul Nolan, our Environmental Officer with the support of the Department Managers and their staff, drives and monitors sustainability performance across the site to ensure that the target areas are met and where possible surpassed. This achievement is a proof of this and clearly demonstrates our commitment to Sustainability.
